Raipey Inc. believes that leadership is a part of youth development and supports our scholars in developing skills, behaviors and attitudes to learn and grow.
Our community outreach and Advocacy creates activities to ensure that all students, individuals, groups and populations are equitable and assessible to everyone in our immediate area.
Raipey Inc. host a youth led discussion yearly through #PaintingThePortrait Teen Summit. Research has endorsed that youth paticipation is a process to increase reform academically, environmental quality, juvenille justice and other issues.
STEAM FULL AHEAD...
As many as 26 million jobs in the United States require some form of STEAM knowledge. STEAM refers to skills, not industries.
Raipey has a strong focus on STEM/ STEAM programs because we believe that these areas help create an amazing foundation for critical thinking and creativity which are skills that can be utilized in any career. We also believe that STEM/ STEAM careers will be in major demand in the future and we want to prepare our scholars to meet the growing demand for qualified candidates. It is said that by 2018 there will be an estimated shortage of 2.4 million STEM/ STEAM jobs.
The increase in STEM/STEAM careers has demonstrated the need to focus on breaking those barriers that did not believe young women could make breakthrough discoveries in this field. According to www.whitehouse.gov President Obama has taken steps to increase transparency around the status of women and girls in STEM fields through the collections and dissimensation of critical participation and achievement data.
